Upstate NY magician wows crowd with Rubik’s Cube trick on ‘America’s Got Talent’
“The act that I do, I’m the only person in the world that actually does it.”
With those words, magician Steven Brundage set high expectations for his audition on “America’s Got Talent.” He exceeded them.
Brundage, of Saratoga Springs, stunned the audience when he performed his Rubik’s Cube trick up close at the judge’s table. His audition aired Tuesday night.
Brundage’s performance left the audience with their jaws dropped and a dumbfounded Simon Cowell asking, “How the hell did you do that?” The audience gave the magician a standing ovation and the judges advanced him to the next round.
Brundage permanently moved to Saratoga Springs after falling in love with the area, the Saratogian reports. He first found Internet fame when he uploaded a video of him performing a Rubik’s cube trick to get out of a speeding ticket. After two officers pulled him over in 2014, he had one of them record video of his magic tricks that included tossing a scrambled Rubik’s Cube in the air and it landing in his hands solved. The video has more than 2 million views.
Brundage told the Saratogian how he got into magic: “Originally, I did it for fun but I realized when you do it, when you’re performing at a show, you get all these people chanting your name and surrounding you and you make all of these connections,” he said. “I can name easily 500 people around the world that I could spend the night with. I’ve met so many random people just through magic.”
Brundage has performed his trick on the Steve Harvey Show and Penn & Teller Fool Us.
Nice job!!!!
